Environmental Regulatory Roundup - March 2026

Two significant environmental regulatory developments occurred in March 2026.

Ohio VOC Manufacturing Standards - EPA approved Ohio’s State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision establishing a 5.9 pounds VOC per gallon emission limit for life raft manufacturing operations. The rule applies specifically to life raft manufacturing facilities and becomes effective immediately upon federal approval.

Florida RCRA Authorization - EPA granted Florida final authorization for revisions to its hazardous waste program under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The authorization allows Florida to operate its hazardous waste program in lieu of the federal program for the covered provisions. This affects multi-state projects where consultants work across Florida and other authorized states.
